Foundations of Trauma-Informed Care Micro-Credential
The Foundations of Trauma-Informed Care Micro-Credential is a 12-hour interactive training series (check dates for in-person or virtual opportunities). Participants are required to attend all 12-hours to be eligible to apply for the micro-credential. Content is focused on the application and implementation of the trauma-informed approach and trauma-sensitive practices in individual roles, interactions with coworkers and in the workplace.

Learning Objectives:
· Identify the symptomatology and potential impacts of trauma on individuals, families, communities, and systems.
· Identify re-traumatization themes/dynamics within individual relationships and the organization/system.
· Explore how the guiding values/principles of trauma-informed care can be applied to interactions, policies, and practices to foster universal precaution.
· Gain the skillsets to interact with clients/patients and colleagues through the sequence of engagement (regulate, relate, reason).
· Formulate individualized and organizational self-preservation strategies to recognize and address the impact of the work.
